PEDP Updates

As we are currently undergoing a global health crisis due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, part of the Export Development Council (EDC) and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)- Export Marketing Bureau (EMB) exercise is for national plans such as the Philippine Export Development Plan (PEDP) 2018-2022, being an integral part of the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) to undergo review and assessment.

Currently, both Plans are undergoing parallel midterm review and assessment of strategies, indicators and targets to see if such are still doable or not.

To further discuss the current situation on the implementation of the PEDP, the EDC and DTI-EMB convened an Online Focused Group Discussion (FGD) last 06 July 2020 with the 18 Government Agencies cited under the Memorandum Circular No. 27 “ Directing All Concerned Government Agencies To Strengthen The Implementation Of The Philippine Export Development Plan And Involving Other Relevant Agencies In The Development Of The Export Sector”

Following the online FGD with the 18 government agencies, an Online Regional Consultations will be held in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao with export sectors and 18 government agencies’ regional offices to disseminate the concerned agencies’ Programs, Action Plans and Policies (PAPs).

Tentative Regional Consultations Schedule are as follows:
