Networking Committee on Legislative Advocacy and Monitoring (NC-LAM)

The Export Development Act of 1994 provides that it is the goal and objective of the “National Government to provide a macroeconomic policy framework that supports export development…” thus (1) Recommend to Congress any proposed legislation that would contribute to the development of exports1, and (2) Ensure that… provisions of existing laws deemed detrimental to export sector be repealed in subsequent acts2.”

The EDC Networking Committee on Legislative Advocacy & Monitoring shall function as mandated by the Export Development Act of 1994 and make possible the actualization of the general principle.

JURISDICTION

All matters relating to macroeconomic policy issues affecting exports that require legislative actions from the Philippine Congress (House of Representative & Senate)

OBJECTIVES

The EDC Networking Committee on Legislative Advocacy and Monitoring (NCLAM) aims to assist in implementing the Export Development Act by advocating necessary legislative actions that shall promote Philippine exports.
