DTI-PTTC Leads Trainings for Nation Building Program

The Training for Nation Building Program, organized by the Department of Trade and Industry’s Philippine Trade Training Center (DTI-PTTC), encompasses a range of training initiatives designed to assist MSMEs as well as emerging entrepreneurs. 

PTTC–Global MSME Academy, serving as the training arm of DTI, is dedicated to delivering extensive training and capacity-building programs. These initiatives are designed to foster MSMEs’ development, growth, and innovation. Throughout its existence, PTTC-GMEA has been a leader in providing growth-oriented MSMEs with essential skills and knowledge. PH continues toward a robust economic future

The Philippine economic growth is anticipated to maintain a promising performance despite facing a challenging economic and financial environment throughout 2023. Economic managers, such as the Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC), assume a Philippine growth rate of 6.5 to 7.5 percent in 2024. The projected growth is expected to be driven by strong private consumption, supported by the expected return of inflation within the target range, falling oil prices, robust public spending, more significant investments lured by the country’s sound macroeconomic fundamentals, investment-grade credit rating, and the implementation of structural reforms, and increased demand for Philippine exports as supply chain bottlenecks ease.

NEW 2023 highlights “Agile Philippines: Empowering Exporters towards Global Excellence”

The Department of Trade Industry – Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB), in collaboration with the Export Development Council (EDC) and the Philippine Exporters Confederation Inc. (PHILEXPORT), altogether led the celebration of the 26th edition of the National Exporters’ Week 2023, with the theme, “Agile Philippines: Empowering Exporters towards Global Excellence.” This year’s theme highlights the importance of developing and capacitating exporters to be agile and resilient amidst a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) world so that our exporters and our export industry can achieve global excellence and recognition.

DTI-EMB conducts UE on “Understanding the EO 1016” for seamless governance

In the last Usapang Export (UE) for 2023, Mr. Franclem Peña, Export Counsellor of DTI – Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB), presented for a better understanding of the Overview and Highlights of EO 1016 and the Inter-Agency Committee (IAC) and its Process: Validation of Trade Regulatory Government Agencies (TRGA’s) Regulations. He also underscores Presidential Decree No. 930, signed on 13 May 1976, on the “Simplifying Export Procedures and Documentation by Realigning Functions of Certain Government Offices/Agencies involved in Processing Export Documents, by Authorizing the Issuance of Periodic Clearances, by the Adoption of Standardized Export Documents, and for Other Purposes.”

To empower women across borders” was the common objective during the meeting hosted by Alyansa Agrikultura on 11 December 2023, which involves the Women’s Business Council Philippines, Inc (WBC) seeking support for the Pambansang Koalisyon ng Kababaihan sa Kanayunan (PKKK) (also known as the National Rural Women’s Coalition).“T

WBC Philippines, comprised of leading women business leaders and entrepreneurs, supported the PKKK, a coalition of 426 organizations in 42 provinces.
