The Technical Working Group on Non-Tariff Measures (TWG-NTM), chaired by DTI-EMB and co-chaired by PHILEXPORT, is continuously updating the International Trade Centre (ITC) Survey on PH – NTMs Matrix of Recommendations and Action Plans.
Registered Exporters System
The Bureau of Customs (BOC) clarified that the EU REx registration shall continue. However, it can no longer issue the CO Form A as the EU member countries will no longer honor it in granting preferential tariffs rates. tarting in January 2021, the EU REx System is to prevail.
Proposal to Deputize the DTI and PEZA as the Issuing Agency on Preferential Certificate of Origin (CO)
The BOC-Export Coordination Division (ECD) crafted its position on the proposed deputization of DTI and PEZA as the issuing agency on Preferential CO, for review and comments of the BOC Legal Office-Technical Working Group (TWG). However, no timeline was provided. EDC NC-TPSS to follow-up further developments with DOF.
